“We’re honored for the recognition, much of which goes to our amazing team of folks who have created the experience here. We are also mindful that there are many great resorts in Colorado, and it is tough to say one is better, so we are grateful to be recognized.” – Chuck Horning, owner of Telluride Ski Resort

About Telluride

Telluride’s 2,000 acres of skiable terrain is naturally divided with challenging chutes, bowls, steeps, bumps and wide-open groomers, while it’s one of the top North America ski resorts for vertical drop, with 4,425 feet of vert. Yet Telluride’s uniqueness extends beyond just the terrain. Its gondola, the first and only free public transportation system of its kind in the U.S., links the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village. The complimentary 12-minute ride offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains and provides guests with easy access to experience the destination’s incredible food and aprés-ski scene.

Here’s what some of OnTheSnow’s users have to say about Wolf Creek:

“I am an older skier and so appreciated the patience and encouragement provided by the instructors. They help build confidence and expert advice. I cannot say enough good things about the staff The snow was also great of course and the views fantastic.” – Mary

“Maybe I hit Wolf Creek on a good day…the quality of the snow was great. They have really nice Intermediate and Advanced terrain though most of the runs are rather short with long Green and Blue runouts. Ticket and food prices are very reasonable, and the place has a very friendly atmosphere.” – Rick

“So much ungroomed goodness. Yet, enough groomers to satisfy. Been skiing here for about 30yrs. I’ve been to the big, ritzy mountains, but, my favorite place to ski is Wolf Creek.” – Graden

OnTheSnow.com’s visitors and app users have chosen Breckenridge as North America’s best ski resort for après-ski in its annual Visitors’ Choice Awards for the 2022-23 ski season. OnTheSnow’s users, who take millions of destination ski trips each winter, rated and reviewed the resorts they visit for characteristics such as terrain, après-ski, family-friendly amenities, terrain parks, and more. Breckenridge was rated the num. 1 ski resort for après-ski.

“Over at Breck, our legendary après scene is brought to life with our team’s unmatched Big Breck Energy! Thank you to all who put their passion into practice every day to create such unbeatable experiences.” – Shayna Silverman, Senior Communications Specialist at Vail Resorts

Breckenridge is dotted with great après-ski spots, including TBar, at the base of Peak 8, which we named one of the best après-ski bars in North America. All total Breck serves up dozens of bars, restaurants, live music venues, and more.
